Die aged 48 Whitney Houston

She was only 48 years, Whitney Houston, one of the queens of pop musici, it's dead.

The body of the singer and actress  was found yesterday afternoon at the Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles. at 15:55 local time (00:55 italian hours)

A tragedy unfortunately already expected.  On the eve of the magical night of the Grammys, had spread the news that Whitney was in critical condition. Its story and the drama of a great artist for years at the top of the charts, loved and revered by millions of fans, passed in a few years of success from paradise to hell of drugs and depression. In addition to the known abuse of cocaine, marijuana and drugs, Whitney has suffered dramatically the failure of his marriage to singer Bobby Brown, which lasted from 1992 to 2006.

 He reached the top of his success very young, thanks to his wonderful voice, enormous intensity and power. In 1986 he won the Grammy for years and dominoes' the scene with many worldwide hits. The Billboard Hot 100 succeeded  to place seven consecutive number one singles, beating the record of five belong to stars like Diana Ross, and even the Beatles.

Along with Michael Jackson holds the record for most successful artist of color. It is estimated that in his short but intense career has sold around 190 million records. For years, Whitney was the star, the golden girl of the music industry. But also reached great popularity 'with his appearances on the big screen in films like' The Bodyguard ', starring Kevin Costner, whose soundtrack has sold 45 million copies. With her music and her sex appeal has influenced a generation of young singers as Christina Aguilera and Mariah Carey. After years of success the collapse and despair long did the abuse of cocaine, marijuana and various pills.
